Norfolk DEFINITELY needs skateparks everywhere, and what better place than Clenchwarton or Terrington. Please please please please! If anyone can build a skatpark it's the council! Clenchwarton is extremely boring, please liven it up! ADAM WHITING, CLENCHWARTON
Having just read some of the comments it seems that some people are not aware that a new indoor park opened in Great Yarmouth on 1 June 2002. It is called The Park and is situated in a completely refurbished 14,000 square feet warehouse in Main Cross Road. Further details can be obtained by telephone on 01493 853322 or by visiting its website at www.theparkwarehouse.co.uk. ROGER SMALLEY, GREAT YARMOUTH
If the skatepark gets shut down then we'll go street skating. But that's exactly why people wanted a park anyway, to stop us skating the streets. If it does get shut down eventually then the number of people skating the streets will go straight up and the council will only get complaints from various people annoyed with us. What's the point. I have Ipswich skatepark but it isn't indoor - but i still skate Norwich park even when it's bone dry. BRENDAN, IPSWICH
Don't close the park. It's the best one around - everyone will skate the streets. ROB, MARTHAM
The skate park is the best indoor park around and if you shut it down you will just have skaters skating on the street. I go to the park every weekend and if you close it down then there will be nowhere to skate apart from the Great Yarmouth park that is nowhere near as good. BEN AND LEO, GREAT YARMOUTH
The Norwich skate park kicks ass, why close it down? The rush I get pulling off a brand new trick is such a cool feeling that I would lose in a lot of ways if it wasn't there. I've been skating about a year now and and I go to the park every week. I go street skating every day. LEO, MARTHAM
I'm a really good skater but don't like street skating. I won't be able to skate anymore if the park closes. I will have to go somewhere else and that is really inconvenient! ALEX, REEPHAM
It's the best indoor skatepark near me and if it get shuts down, I will have nowhere to go. RYAN, BMX RIDER, IPSWICH

We have just had a skateboard park opened in Gorleston, Great Yarmouth. What was the point? It is an outdoor ramp, not big enough to accommodate the local kids let alone the holiday-makers! The kids prefer skating on the streets and paths instead. When asked why, they reply because it is safer. "We fall off of the ramps and get cuts and bruises and it's not big enough for all of us to skate at the same time." Come on give us an indoor park like Norwich. Maybe it will stop our kids hanging around the streets. SOPHIE, GORLESTON
I think that the council should be spending the money on the skateparks. As a boarder myself, i will be one of many boarders skating in the streets. This will cause much more accidents to others and having more skateparks will reduce this risk. ANON, REEPHAM
I think it's pointless shutting it down cos there will be nowhere to skate, there will, but it won't be safe. MIKIE, NORWICH
You cant close the skate park it's like a second home to me! SHEENA, NORWICH
The skatepark is the safest environment for extreme sports to be undertaken. Although most of these sports originate in the streets, park skating/riding is very popular. I have spent a lot of my time at the park and will disappointed to see it go. Metal ramps will only be usable in perfect weather and will be very basic, the only answer is to provide a high quality facility as we have now at sensible prices. WILL, NORWICH
I cannot believe the skate park is closing. My son goes there every day and is now very good. Without an indoor park, I will not be happy letting my son ride on the street as there will be nobody to help him if he injures himself. We need the indoor park. If anyone can help us to keep it open, please do so. SHONA HUNTER, NORWICH
I am really annoyed to hear that the skate park is closing. There will be nowhere else to ride. Norwich is the only decent skate park near me, so I am disappointed. JAMES, BMX RIDER
The Xtreme skate park provides a place for young people to learn new skills on skateboards, in-lines and BMXs. If the park closes the council will have to deal with the kids and adults skating the streets and street crimes will soon rise. I have been going to the park for a year and I have seen many of the people there turn into young pros. Many of them are sponsored by big companies. It is also placed in a convenient place: it is in the city centre and next to the bus station. It is going to be very sad to see the park close, as I am going to lose quite a few good friends.
EMMIE, NORWICH
I'm disappointed. There is nowhere else to rise. The nearest park is in Derby which is miles away. I'll have to street ride instead. It's all there will be left to do.
LEE, BMX RIDER
I'll have to ride the streets and save up to get trains. DAVID, BMX RIDER
