Seasons


In Welsh, the four seasons are:

Y gwanwynSpring
Yr hafSummer
Yr hydrefAutumn
Y gaeafWinter

  • We always put 'y/yr', which means 'the' in front of the season's name.
  • Notice that 'y' comes in front of a consonant and 'yr' in front of a vowel or the letter 'h'.
