England rugby union player Manu Tuilagi will not play in the World Cup after admitting to assaulting two police officers and a taxi driver.

England rugby union player Manu Tuilagi will not play in the World Cup after admitting to assaulting two police officers and a taxi driver. Mark Chapman talks to former England Internationals Matt Dawson and Jeremy Guscott about their opinions on the Leicester Tigers centre.

ā€œI’m just disgusted, I’m disappointed, because there is just no excuseā€ said Matt.

ā€œHe deserves everything that he gets, he’s got a terrible recordā€

ā€œHe is potentially a great player for England […] and it’s so irresponsible, I’m devastated for Stuart Lancaster and the rest of the coaching staffā€

Do you think that he will be lucky to continue his England career after this? asked Mark Chapman, BBC broadcaster.

ā€œManu is a young man, he’s made a terrible mistake, and it’s going to live with him for the rest of his lifeā€ replied Jeremy.

ā€œWe are all supporters of Rugby and we are all disappointedā€

Tuilagi has been ordered to pay a total of £6,205 in fines, compensation and costs, and is now banned from the England Rugby team until January 2016.
