‘Paula is no drugs cheat’ says her husband

Paula Radcliffe’s husband Gary Lough protests the world marathon record holder’s innocence.

Radcliffe has said questions raised during a parliamentary select committee "effectively implicated" her in an article published in the Sunday Times investigating doping in UK athletes.

Speaking to Eleanor Oldroyd, Paula’s husband Gary Lough says “she is going to take it upon herself to stand up for the sport.”

“We didn’t choose to release Paula’s blood data” said Lough.

“I’m pretty sure there’s a bunch of clean athletes who have been lumped into the same boat…I’d like to see WADA come out and state there is no case to answer.”

In response to the allegations the three-time London Marathon winner issued a statement saying she was "devastated" that her name had been "linked to these wide-ranging accusations".
