Sunderland midfield v Arsenal âChampionship at bestâ â Nevin
Former Scotland winger Pat Nevin says Sunderland âcapitulatedâ in their 4-1 loss to Arsenal which left them with only two points from their opening 10 games.
Former Scotland winger says Sunderland supporters had âno anger leftâ after watching their team lose 4-1 at home to Arsenal in the Premier League, with the midfield looking âChampionship at best.â
The defeat leaves David Moyesâ side bottom of the table, with only two points from their opening 10 matches of the season.
âThis is worse than before and looking around the fans and listening to them it sounded awful,â said Nevin.
âThereâs no anger left there was just capitulation.
âIf youâve got Kirchhoff, Larsson and Cattermole these are players with a bit of passion, a bit of heart and bit of experience.â
âTheyâve (currently) got a bunch of players in midfield, and Iâm telling you in simple terms, they arenât good enough as a group to be in the Premier League.
âThey looked a Championship side at best but get those other players back and they have got a chance of being competitive, today they didnât even look competitive,â he added.
