Neville: Fergie would have given Shaw āfull barrelsā
Former Manchester United player and coach Phil Neville thinks Jose Mourinho is giving Luke Shaw his last chance.
In less than a week, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has criticised Shaw by questioning his professionalism, commitment and focus publicly.
He then brought him on as a substitute against Everton on Tuesday night before saying that the defender had used āhis body with my brainā during his 25 minutes on the pitch.
Speaking to Jonathan Overend, Neville thinks the 21-year-old is on his last chance with the manager.
When asked what former manager Alex Ferguson would have done in this situation, Neville said he thought heād have dealt with Shaw in a similar manner and given him āfull barrelsā but would have done it ābehind the scenesā.
