Conor McGregor says his trash talk was a ‘slip of the tongue’

Conor McGregor has admitted that it’s been “hard to keep everything in check” in his trash talk battles with Floyd Mayweather and admits to “slips of the tongue”.

Speaking to 5 live, McGregor said: “Of course there’s been slip ups, we’re only human. When you face a man you’re about to fight it’s hard to keep everything in check.”

“The overall experience has been great for boxing, for mixed martial arts and combat sport all over the world.”
