Ibiza Opening Party - Dave Pearce at EdenDave Pearce is resident at Eden every Saturday night throughout the summer. For the last couple of years, Dave has been behind the decks for Ibiza's biggest Saturday night party with his 'Anthems' night, now more appropriately named 'Euphoria'. We went down to find out if the Ibiza season had really kicked off and to see just how euphoric it really was.
It's 2.30 in the morning and Dave arrives at Eden, home of his 'Euphoria' night. He had just played at pre-parties at Savannah and Bar M and was about to take to the turntables at Eden.
But first there were a few weekly rituals to get out of the way. Whereever he goes these days there is usually a camera crew in hot pursuit, so Dave stops and does his piece to camera
Then he heads off to the VIP balcony to rub shoulders with his friends from Radio 1
A quick drink and a million handshakes later and Dave finally settles in to his DJ box ready for a big night
As you might guess, the music policy for the evening is eurphoric and the noisy crowd do everything possible to lift the lid on the beautiful venue. The crowd is a real mixture of clubbers, ranging from well-dressed party girls...
...to the ultra-glam fashion crowd who look superb
It might only be the second week of the season but the club was full. The dancefloor was packed and clubbers looked for any spot they could find to dance
Though some just sat it out and looked pretty. Don't fancy yours much on the end, Dave!
For some, several hours of pounding the dancefloor had taken its toll on their limbs. A soothing massage soon sorted that out
Others just decided to chill out in the back room...

Back in the main room and Dave's pitching it up...
...and the crowd were going nuts. It went off like all good clubs should and stayed packed till the end. No surprise then that Dave is happy with the start to the season, though if you are planning on visiting later in the summer I'd start queueing now, the night is gonna be even bigger once summer really kicks in
