One of the most reliable nights on the island is Ministry of Sound's Friday night party at Pacha. What sets this night apart from the other UK club nights in Ibiza is the cosmopolitan nature of the crowd. This is partly down to worldwide recognition of the Ministry brand name. However, Pacha itself is also known all around the globe, and the club's plan of expanding around Europe can only be welcomed. We went down to check out the diversity of the crowd.

It's a familiar scene to anyone who has been to Ministry in Ibiza. It's never easy getting in, even if your name is down. The opening night was bound to be a nightmare for those running the guestlist and those hoping their names were on it

Once inside we are reminded of the club's history, and once you step through the huge wooden doors, you know you are entering a special place. Pacha is far removed from the warehouse nightclubs we have got used to over the last decade. Pacha is a real club

By 2am, the main room was rammed, Gareth Cooke had wound up the crowd in readiness for the Master At Work, Little Louie Vega

And they don't call him a Master for nothing. Keeping 3 turntables spinning and dealing with the queue of fans hanging over his DJ box can't be easy. He kicked off his set with 'It's Alright, I Feel It' and sprinkled more Masters At Work classics throughout the night

Needless to say, the crowd greeted each one with respectful roars of appreciation

All the Pacha regulars were somewhere to be found on the dancefloor, including Pacha's infamous Captain Bird's Eye

The Pacha dancers obviously haven't let themselves get out of shape over the winter months

And the costumes are looking as good as ever

Getting yourself noticed at Pacha is the key to making friends and being loved by the regulars. Blending in to the background is just not an option...

...Which is why there is a fight for the podiums the minute they become available

In the Zenith Room, Paul Jackson and Tim Deluxe were causing major devastation to the dancefloor. The music was dark, deep, and dirtier than a fortnight in Ibiza on an 18-30

The tunes that rocked the Zenith Room included Harry Choo Choo's 'Night @ The Black' and Lil Mo Ying Yang's 'Reach'

Like Sundays at Space, Ministry at Pacha has become an institution that visitors to the island must sample. It sells out every week, so if you do go down in the peak of the season get down before 1am. Oh yes, one more tip: Look your best
