Radio 1 descended on Ibiza at the weekend. Pete Tong kicked it all off with a couple of hours at Mambo.

Kosheen performed just as the sun was setting. "Incredible. I've never been to Ibiza before but longed to go since I was a teenager. To be stood right in front of it all for Radio 1 was just fantastic."
On Saturday, just down the way, Sara Cox entertained the throng from the beautiful new bar and the place to be - Coastline.
"It was beautiful. Always a pleasure to make love to the Radio 1 listeners' ears as usual!"
And Sara says she really appreciated her guests, the Avalanches, dropping in:
"It was a bit of a tight squeeze. They came from Spain, they've flown off to the Witnness Festival so it was really good of them to pop in. They did a good 20 minute mix which went down very well."
Judge Jules whipped the crowd up into a frenzy at Mambo. And it was madness at Manumission, who put on a extra night especially for Radio 1.
Fatboy, Seb Fontaine, Pete Tong and Darren Emerson provided the tunes and the club was decked out with contortionists, scantily clad sailors and pirates abseiling down the walls.
Sunday night finished with Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems and then Gilles Peterson with special guests Zero 7.
And then it was time to chill out....
