To find out of how this game transpired, head over to George O'Neill's match report.

Thanks for tuning in, and we’ll be back tomorrow with live coverage of all three games from the tournament.

Until then, take care - and we’ll see you next time.

  2. What's to come tomorrow?published at 17:23 GMT 17 February

We will have three more matches to come tomorrow at the T20 World Cup.

South Africa face the United Arab Emirates in the first game of the day from 05:30 GMT.

Pakistan, eyeing a spot in the Super 8s, will face Namibia at 09:30 while co-hosts and defending champions India take on the Netherlands from 13:30.

  3. 'We wanted to qualify for Super 8s'published at 17:20 GMT 17 February

Nepal captain Rohit Paudel: "This win means a lot to me. This is my second World Cup as captain and winning my first game in the last game of this tournament. It was vey important for us as a team too.

"For the fans, this win was very important too. They saw the game against England and they started booking more tickets and coming over here more. We didn't execute our plan in the next games but they still stayed here and supported us. We are playing away and they have come and supported us. Imagine when we play at home!

"The game against England helped us a lot. We knew how to keep our nerves when pressure situations came. The way Dipendra Singh Airee and Gulshan Jha executed in the last overs was incredible.

"To summarise this tournament, we wanted to play the way we played against England and Scotland. But the games against Italy and West Indies were not how we wanted to play. Pretty much happy with the tournament but we wanted to qualify for the Super 8s. Still great learnings for us and we will try to improve."

  4. 'We could have won more games'published at 17:16 GMT 17 February

Scotland captain Richie Berrington: "Atmosphere was incredible. We knew this was going to be a tough game, especially defending against them. They had a huge crowd behind them.

"Disappointing to be at the wrong end of this result. But a lot of credit must go to Dipendra Singh Airee. He changed the tempo of the game in the end and fair play to him for getting player of the match award today.

"170 was a competitive score but they bowled extremely well towards the backend of our innings. If we could bring that bowling performance against England, we could have made things difficult.

"Pleased with some of our performances in the T20 World Cup. We have shown we can compete at this level. But there's still frustration there. We could have won a few more games. Maybe it's the lack of game time coming into the tournament.

"It's been great that this has been a 20-team World Cup. We have seen the benefits of that. All these teams are only going to get stronger. We have to keep doing everything we can and take every opportunity we have in front of us."

The Nepal fans have added so much colour and noise to this T20 World Cup, turning up in huge numbers every time their team have played.

But it hasn’t been an easy tournament for them as they haven't had much to celebrate before today with their team suffering three straight defeats to start the campaign.

But even with this being a dead rubber, they still came out in force tonight and their team rewarded them in style.

Scotland were very late additions to this T20 World Cup.

They were called up by the ICC by virtue of being the highest-ranked team not already at the tournament after Bangladesh decided to boycott the event.

And while their stay in India ends here, they will head home with their heads held high.

We will hear from both the Scotland and Nepal captains soon, so stay with us.

  7. 'One of my best innings'published at 17:00 GMT 17 February

Nepal man of the match Dipendra Singh Airee: "I want to thank the fans who came from Nepal to support us. In the last World Cup we didn't win a match and that is why this win is important for us. It is one of my best innings, especially while chasing."

Scotland got themselves in a position to win today and will be disappointed but there's lots of things for them to be positive about.

The third umpire might want to check this because if his foot made contact with the boundary cushion, it will be victory for Nepal.

Gulshan Jha's shot is cut off at the boundary by a brilliant effort from George Munsey but he might touched the rope here and it could mean a Nepal victory.
