Barnsley have signed Crystal Palace goalkeeper Owen Goodman on loan until the end of the season.

The 22-year-old spent the first half of the campaign with Huddersfield before having his loan deal cut short earlier this month.

The Tykes allowed Murphy Cooper, who had been ever-present in League One this season, to return to parent club QPR on Wednesday.

Goodman could make his debut in Saturday's home game against Blackpool.

"I was very keen to have something lined up and done before letting Murph go back to QPR," boss Conor Hourihane told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"We needed to find a replacement that fits our profile and how we want the goalkeeper to look moving forward. Owen fits that bill."
