That is a wrap for us today and from a busy weekend in football and hurling.

Armagh get their Division One campaign off to a flying start with a hugely impressive display against Monaghan in Clones, but elsewhere it was a difficult day for Ulster sides as Cavan, Fermanagh and Antrim all lose.

We are back next weekend with another double-header as on Saturday, Derry host Tyrone in Division Two football [18:00 GMT], while on Sunday, attention turns to hurling as Antrim welcome Clare to Dunloy [13:00].

You can watch both of those games live on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport NI website.

Until then, enjoy the rest of your Sunday and we'll reconvene next week.

Player of the match Andrew Murnin speaking to BBC NI: "We're delighted to get out of here with two points. We've probably put in the hard work over the last couple of months and it's all been focussed on today.

"We knew what Monaghan were going to come with and we're delighted.

"Our video analysis on Tuesday will be what we could have done better. We left a lot of stuff behind us, especially in the first half.

"We thought we maybe missed a couple of chances but, as I say, we're just delighted to get out of here."

Eighteen points from Monaghan isn't bad considering a few dropped short and a few wides but 1-27 from Armagh is very impressive.

It's a good start to their campaign, a range of different scores, they got their running game up and going. They'll be really happy.

From a Monaghan point of view, it was always going to be a tough one and that's a harsh environment with a lot of debutants. It's back to the drawing board.
