Will GB quartet go again in 2030?published at 21:30 GMT 21 February

    Men's curling final - GB 6-9 Canada

    Vicky Wright
Olympic gold medallist curler on BBC Two

It will be interesting to see how they feel after this - do they want to go again?

I really hope they do because there is so much potential with these boys. They can keep going for years and years and will win that gold medal in the future.

It was Eve's [Muirhead] fourth time of trying for her Olympic gold [in 2022]. She knew that was probably her last chance of winning it, she went for it and we did it.

If the boys were to come back in four years' time, I really hope they'd be a better team again with more life experience.

Gutted by the result, but what great ambassadors for curling. Thank you for the ride - all of you. Hold your heads high.

So gutted for the boys but they have been so strong throughout the competition and played some absolute blinders. They can leave with their heads held high. They have made the nation proud. Well done Team GB and hopefully 2030 will be the year.

And now the Canadian team get their gold medals.

It's the second time that skip Brad Jacobs has led a Canadian quartet to Olympic gold.

They were second at the end of the round-robin behind the Swiss, but stand on the top step of the podium.

    Men's curling final - GB 6-9 Canada

Jen Dodds of Great Britain's women's team, speaking to BBC Sport after the men's final: "Gutted for them. They haven't shied away from the fact this has been their goal. They wanted to win Olympic gold. You can tell that from their emotions now.

"They were so close and in such a great position in the eighth end. They will want to replay that ninth end hundreds and hundreds of times over.

"I am so proud of them. The fight in the 10th end was just amazing."

The boys have definitely got a lot more years in them. They are so young and they are almost coming into their prime now.

You see Brad Jacobs, he won his first gold 12 years ago and is back again doing it. There is no reason why the boys can't do that.

The time has passed quickly since Beijing, they have won a lot and grown a lot. They are improving in life. This quartet chose to play together in 2017 and they have stuck together since. They are a really solid unit and have got each other's backs.

They have done a fantastic job.

Ice Hockey - Slovakia 1-2 Finland in bronze medal game

The bronze medal match in the ice hockey has come alive in the second period!

Slovakia responded to the first period well and were in control of play in the early stages of the second. They had looked set to get back in the game but Erik Haula doubled Finland's lead in the 28th minute to make Slovakia's comeback task even harder.

But Slovakia responded just before the end of the second period through Tomas Tatar to get themselves back into the game.

Finland lead 2-1 going into the third and final period. It's going to be a big 20-minute battle between the two.

  16. 'Inspiring people is an achievement in itself'published at 21:04 GMT 21 February

    Men's curling final - GB 6-9 Canada

It was a short post-match interview from Team GB duo Bruce Mouat and Grant Hardie, clearly trying to hold in their emotions after another Olympic heartbreak.

Mouat said: "I'm a bit in shock. We felt like we were the better team there. I don't know what to say.

"Regardless of the result, the incredible thing we will take away is the amount of people who have come out to support us and have messaged us from back home. The boys and I love our sport, we want people to come and join our sport.

"If we can take anything away from ths week as well as the silver medal, it's being able to inspire people to hopefully want to participate. That is an achievement in itself."

Hardie added: "[Our friendship] is why we wanted to win it for each other. The pain from four years ago was that much, we thought we'd give it another go, had the chance, but unfortunately we haven't got there again."

It's not the colour of medal they wanted, but the quartet of Bruce Mouat, Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan have added a silver medal to Great Britain's tally at these Winter Olympics.

It goes alongside the three golds won earlier in the Games.
