Council House

Nottingham 's Market Square

Ray Gosling moved to Nottingham from Leicester, and was impressed by the city's civic buildings. "That's some centre, Slab Square, an area in space," he commented at the time. The square was once the site of a market and the original Goose Fair. In 1926 it became the Old Market Square and the Council House. It's also been the location for demonstrations and rallies over the years.
