BRIDGES: Examining people's understanding of weather and climate information
How often do people check the weather forecast? Do they trust what they hear? Dive in to learn more

How often do people listen to the weather forecast?
Do they understand what they hear? Do they believe it?
How are they affected by a changing climate?
And most importantly - do they take action based on the information they receive?
We surveyed more than 5,000 people, conducted 57 focus group discussions, and held 142 in-depth interviews across three countries, to find out how people in Kenya, Bangladesh and Nepal are perceiving the impacts of climate change, and what information they use to help them adapt and cope.
Find out what they said, and how it's informing our work, in this in-depth collection of research in support of our Bridges project.

Enhancing climate communication for communities in Bangladesh, Kenya and Nepal
Our three-country research briefing examines the challenges and opportunities for strengthening climate and weather communication

Enhancing climate communication in Nepal
Did you know only 1 in 5 adults in Nepal report checking the weather forecast daily? Our nationally representative survey discovered how people are using weather information and where communication can make a difference.
Enhancing climate communication in Bangladesh
Bangladesh is on the frontlines of climate change - yet fewer than 1 in 5 adults in the country report checking the weather forecast daily. Find out how they are experiencing climate impacts, and how they use weather information, in our study.
