Meet the audition teamWith over 25,000 entries, the judges for Blue Peter Music Makers were always going to have a tough time selecting the 40 young Music Makers. Here you can find out about the judges Ben and Paul and find out their advice for music making. Ben Foster - Audition JudgeBen has been composing songs since he was 18 years old. He has had five 'top ten' hits, (including ones for 'S Club 7', 'Boyzone' and 'Toploader'), and has created many album tracks, singles and TV/film soundtracks for a variety of artists.
Ben has also worked with many orchestras both on stage and in the studio and recently worked with Murray Gold to orchestrate the Blue Peter theme tune that will be used on the show in September I always wanted to write music - since I was about 10 years old, so for me it's a dream come true. Paul Gladstone-Reid - Audition Workshop LeaderPaul has been dubbed as a 'true world musician', thanks to his popular compositions, which mix many different styles of music. Paul's work, which includes jazz, soul, R'n'B, gospel and classical compositions, has been performed all over the country.
He has had his compositions broadcast on BBC Radio and performed at places like the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall. It's easy to lose sight of that idealistic vision, but then you catch it in a glimpse and you think, 'wow, this is really cool, I do this!' |
