What were the
houses like?

Skara Brae stone bed

These box beds were made from stone slabs. The beds on the right hand side of the house were larger than the beds on the left. Why do you think they might have needed different sized beds?

There were no duvets and sheets in those days. What do you think they would have used to make the beds warm and comfortable?
