Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, speaking to TNT Sports: "We came here to win the game and in the end we haven't managed to do that. And credit to them, the manner they're organised and the game they want to provoke constantly. But we knew that when you have the four big chances we have, with [Gabriel] Martinelli open goal, Declan Rice, Mikel Merino, Bukayo Saka, in the end you have to find the margins to win the game because we did not concede a shot on target but yeah, disappointed not to win it.
"The clear penalty, obviously we have to not to forget there is a clear penalty in the box that has not been given, so that's the margins.
"I saw it live. I saw it here and saw it now again. It is very unnecessary but he brings the ball in with the hand, so it's a clear penalty."
On if the referee or fourth official spoke to him about the decision: "No."
On if it could be seen as a good point: "We have to do that. Try to learn and improve. The league shows how difficult it is. Nobody's winning, winning, winning. It is so tough. Especially when we have the situation we had today, we have to put them away and you have to give credit to the opponent."

Arsenal will win the league I think, but they are a poor watch, so formulated and predictable, but it works more often than not. The chasing pack are too inconsistent.

Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Arsenal are having such a strong season. You have to get all the basics right which we did. The hard yards. The big save from Matz Sels is a defining moment in a game like that They are a fine side, we know that. You look at their goals against, it's a very low total and their goals for is high so that shows the prowess that they have in the Premier League at the moment.
On the penalty decision: "You've got to be careful with handballs. Nothing about Mikel [Arteta's] words, I just think if that is given you've got to start looking at the game. That can't be given for that. There's no intention there, he has got a nudge in the back from our own player. It hits him on the arm.
"I would be very, very disappointed if that was given and I would be unbelievably delighted if that was given for us. I just think there is such a big noise about handballs. We were unlucky not to get one ourselves. That one with Callum Hudson-Odoi driving into the box has got a chance as well. You can look at that one either way.
On being five points clear of the relegation: "It's four points out of two Premier League games which is not a bad change. We've got to be realistic about where we were and where we are now. There's a lot of good work done now and a lot of good work out there today but there is more to come."

"They're a well drilled team. They've got good players in midfield and defence as well, so they're a good side. We knew it was going to be tough to come here but of course we're disappointed we didn't win.
"We just keep going. We can't let our heads drop with this kind of result and it won't. Still a lot of games to play and we'll move onto the next game how we always do, trying to win.
"It's a dressing room and staff that are very focused on the task at hand and very focused on winning the Premier League."

There's the commitment to score a goal of course, but what about the commitment to the shape, the basics, the hard yards of the game? And I thought we did that fantastically well as a group.
"They still had a couple of chances but listen they're a top side and they're flying. But to get a clean sheet against them is amazing. We had a couple of chances ourselves but it's hard to open them up, as they've shown all season.
"I'm pleased for him. There's a lot of noise on their set-pieces and I thought he did well and that as well, the whole group did. But that's a great save, I think it comes over Merino's head, he sees it late, that was a good spring and he gets his fingertips to it. That was a big moment of course, but we had a big moment ourselves.
"Touch and go penalty, he gets pulled, he's falling into the box, I think that was a tight one. I know you're going to mention theirs. I think in football, look, we've got to be careful with that if people think that's a penalty. I don't know why it wasn't given, I'm pleased it wasn't, because this handball thing is a weird one at the minute, as we all know. That would've been incredibly harsh for me if that gets given.
"You can see he's got a nudge in the back, from our own player, but you can't get a nudge and control everything. I just think we've got to be really careful. I know there's a massive debate around handball at the minute, but if those get given we've got to go 'hang on a minute'.
"I though Elliot Anderson was a Rolls Royce today, him and Callum Hudson-Odoi. I thought Nicolas Dominguez off the ball, the stuff us manager's love, from his shape and his diligence. Amongst others, but Ibrahim Sangare gives us that little bit of solid feel, he know what position to be in and allows Elliot to be a little bit freer and loser.
"There's a lot of good things here. We've just taken four points against some top sides in that run. We've played Manchester City, Villa away, these are tough games. So I'm pleased we've come away with another point."

There's enough of a gap, it hits his shoulder and then he seems to cup the ball, he moves his arm around. It looks to me like it could have been a penalty.
I would have liked the referee to have gone and had a look [at the monitor]. I think Forest are lucky.

It'll split opinion, this one. I think his body action is natural. I don't think it's a really clear and obvious mistake from the referee. I think it would have been a little unfair on Forest.
If the focus is just on that penalty decision, then you're clutching at straws.

"I thought you were going to say our one [penalty claim in the first half]. Right on the line of the box, they say it's outside. I think he's already in full flight, he gets pulled, he's going in the box, he's going to get there.
"You may as well cancel football if you're going to give that [handball by Ola Aina]. The rules have to be careful. You know what they should be looking at, people feigning injury. That's the new diving. I wouldn't worry about the handballs.Cancel football if that handball is given."

Nottingham Forest have lost eight of their last 10 Premier League games against Arsenal, though both exceptions have come at the City Ground since their return to the division in 2022 (1-0 in May 2023, 0-0 in February 2025).
Arsenal have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three Premier League games against Nottingham Forest, their longest run of league shutouts against the Tricky Trees.
