Justice and Security (Northern Ireland) Bill
AIM
This bill introduces a number of measures which reflect what the Government calls progress towards normalisation in Northern Ireland.
MAIN PROVISIONS
Provide for jury reform and a new system of non-jury trial, following the repeal of the Diplock Court System
Provide for the powers for the armed forces, police and the Secretary of State to be reformed
Extend the remit of the Security Industry Authority to Northern Ireland
Extend the powers of the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission
