What can the
special places tell us?

Ring of Brodgar

We don't know exactly how the stone circles in Orkney were built. To build such large monuments would have needed organisation and many people working together, more people than there were living in Skara Brae. To stand the stones up they probably used platforms, levers, ropes and pulleys. Who do you think organised the people?
