What improvement?

"The trains are awful! There's always something wrong, particularly in the mainline stations.

I've seen no improvement and if a train is cancelled there's no alternative. That's a real downfall.

And as for the tube, it's hot, sticky and it stinks! Where's the air conditioning?"
