BRYAN What did it feel like when you found that you were going to be on the set text list?
ELY It was amazing because I… it took me 16 years to find a publisher for Duck Feet. Like, I sent it out to publishers and they just said, “nobody’s going to. Nobody wants to read this. It’s too niche. Nobody wants to read about a wee girl in a housing scheme in Scotland growing up.” So to go from like there to kids studying it in schools, it’s just fantastic.
