Travel
Package holidays can be found for as little as £300, but if you do book one make sure you are in the right resort. San Antonio, Playa D'en Bossa and Figuretas are more popular with the young clubbers and are within easy reach of the better clubs and bars. Getting there by plane should take about 2 hours from London. If transfers aren't included in your holiday then you can catch a taxi from the front of the airport. Getting to Ibiza town in a taxi will cost you 1500pts - 2000pts, San Antonio will be 3000pts - 4500pts.

Cash
Clubbing in Ibiza is an expensive business but overall the price of everything else seems reasonable. The average club entrance price is 4000-7000pts and drinks are 800-1500pts. A main course meal will cost in the region of 1500pts and a drink in a bar 600pts. There are plenty of money exchanges in Ibiza. Cash points can be found in San Antonio and Ibiza Town, both of which accept all major debit and credit cards. And don't worry, the instructions do come in English. There are no cash withdrawal facilities near Privilege, Amnesia or Space so if you are heading towards these make sure you have enough money on you.

Approximate Currency Calculation (Stirling = Spanish Pesetas)
£1 = 250pts
£5 = 1,250pts
£10 = 2,500pts
£15 = 3,750pts
£20 = 5,000pts
£50 = 12,500pts
£100 = 25,000pts

Approximate Currency Calculation (Spanish Pesetas = Stirling)
1,000pts = £2.50
5,000pts = £20.00
10,000pts = £40.00
15,000pts = £60.00
20,000 = £80.00
25,000= £100.00

Safety
One of the biggest dangers in Ibiza must be the roads. Lots of people tend to walk back from Privilege and Amnesia along the narrow unlit road that links them to the two major towns. Lots of people go clubbing, drink, take drugs and then drive home, so account for it. Walk in the direction of oncoming traffic and move to the side when a car approaches. Do not sit by the side of the road. If you can't afford to get a cab back from Amnesia or Privilege then you are probably better off not going. If you hire a car or moped make sure you are covered by your insurance and ask for a helmet. There is very little street crime in Ibiza, so although getting mugged isn't totally ruled out, it's very unlikely. The same can be said of having your villa/apartment/hotel room robbed, but do be careful.

Getting Around
There is a good bus service linking the major resorts so hiring a moped is not necessary or advisable. The roads are full of nutters. All the major car hire companies can be found at the airport. If you are catching a cab try and agree a price before you set off. A taxi from Ibiza town to San Antonio will cost about 5000pts. There is a good bus service linking Ibiza town and San Antonio but it gets very full pre-club times. There is a Disco Bus that runs throughout the night and departs from the harbours in both towns. It runs ever hour and only costs 225pts.
