Watch Georgina Bowman's video report: The party kicked off on Friday morning with Sara Cox doing her weirdest Breakfast Show ever - to hundreds of people on the beach who hadn't been to bed: "Ibiza is amazing. The crowd here is just fantastic, they're so supportive. Like a sea of happy faces. That's completely what it's been this morning - amazing," says Sara. Everything you hear about Ibiza is true. It's got the best clubs in the world, the best DJ's in the world and when the Radio 1 gang's on the island, this is what happens. It was a Balearic take-over by Radio 1 - Judge Jules played to thousands at Bar M, Danny Rampling entertained a chilled out crowd at KM5 and Pete Tong took his Essential Selection to the Pacha Beach Bar: "It's a bigger island than most people think. If you haven't been here, everyone sort of assumes that you come here and everywhere's like the west end of San Antonio, but it's not. I think it's quite an underrated island, and there's plenty of places to go off and hide and there's plenty of varity here as well, clubwise and barwise," says Pete. Everyone's got just one thing on their mind - not just having it large, but having it larger than ever before. The clubs are the most glamourous in the world, the dancers are wild, the outfits are minimal and the celebs are A list: "You will see me about in a large, white-feathered hat. If you see somebody on a spare podium in a large white-feathered hat, making some funny shapes, you'll know it's me," Jamiroquai frontman, Jay Kay, told Radio 1. But for all this glitz and hedonism there's a price. The top clubs cost a steep £40 to get in and two drinks set you back £12. "Scandalous, scandalous!" | ||||
