'Five suicide bombers enta Maiduguri, two still remain' - Governor Zulum

Borno State Govnor, Babagana Zulum say five suicide bombers enta di state and na only three don detonate dia Improvise Explosive Device (IEDs) so far.

Zulum tok inside exclusive interview wit BBC News as e dey react to di recent bomb blast wey hapun for Maiduguri di Borno State capital fr north east Nigeria, wey kill at least 23 pipo and injure about 100 odas wen suspected suicide attack three different places at di same time.

"Di intelligence wey we receive so far indicate say five suicide bombers don enta Maiduguri. So far, three don detonate dia IEDs and we dey investigate di whereabouts of di two. I no wan go further, we dey ontop di mata, by God's grace we go scata di two wey dem neva detonate".

Di govnor wey im state dey face one security challenge to anoda say im feel "very sad", and im bin dey for Saudi Arabia wen im hear about di bomb blasts.

"As di executive govnor of Borno State, di chief security officer of di state, I bin feel so sad. My prayers dey wit di pipo. And therefore, I want to bring hope to di pipo of Borno State, and in particular di pipo for Maiduguri, say di madness go end."

According to di govnor, since im comeback from travel im dey do plenti tok-tok wit di armed forces and oda security agencies and dia aim na to bring di situation, under control.

'E dey difficult to deal wit enemy wey you no dey see'

Di insurgents dey known to target gatherings during festivities like Sallah, large gatherings during Ramadan and election period. As to why govment no dey fit prevent dem from striking, Zulum tell BBC say, "e dey veri difficult to deal wit enemy wey you no dey see face to face."

Di govnor add say Borno State dey more secure now dan before and e don improve wit ova 90%. We still get small-small problems though and im promise say govment go make sure say "dis madnes come to an end."
